The NBMC is found at J.C. Road, Dhanbandi, Sirajganj, and offering the degree of Bachelor of drugs and Surgery (MBBS) under the Rajshahi Medical University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
College History
North Bengal Medical College is that the first private medical college within the northern region of Bangladesh which was established within the year 2000 by the permission of the govt of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. the school is sited during a beautiful location on the bank of river Jamuna over a neighborhood of three .5 acres of land within the district town of Sirajganj.
The founding father of this Medical College, Late Prof. M. A. Matin was a well known personality in Bangladesh. Besides being a really renowned Ophthalmologist, he was the president of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons,
Bangladesh Medical Association, and Ophthalmic Society of Bangladesh. Prof. M.A. Matin envisioned a medical college in his home town Sirajganj considering the poor Medicare facilities within the northern region of Bangladesh.
Late Professor Dr. Tashmina Matin was the founder Principal of North Bengal Medical College and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She served as Principal of this Medical College till her last breath.
Her untiring efforts with the founding father of this school Prof. Dr. M.A. Matin established this medical college together of the simplest medical colleges within the northern a part of this country.
North Bengal Medical College is an affiliating college under the Medical University of Rajshahi. Its MBBS curriculum is adopted by the school of drugs of this university. this school is recognized by The Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). North Bengal Medical College offers a 5-year medical education course resulting in MBBS.
One-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. NBMC produced quite 500 teen medical graduates who are now working as graduate and postgraduate doctors in our country and abroad.
At the time of admission, all students will need to pay a minimum of 1 (01) year hostel seat rent beforehand , if they desire to measure during a hostel. Hostel accommodation fees are same as an area students for one year. All students will clear their hostel seat rent before appearing within the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Final professional MBBS examination.
If they fail within the Final Professional MBBS Examination, they’re going to need to pay US$ 800.00 (Eight hundred US Dollars) for every attempt altogether subjects and US$ 267.00 for every subject.
All students will clear their tuition & others fees goodbye they continue their regular courses. All students need to pay the other charges which can be imposed by the concerned authority associated with the MBBS course, like RFST, study tour, autopsy visit, etc.
