Chattogram International Medical College

Chattagram International Medical College (CIMC) is a Non-Government medical college with a 250-bed Medical College Hospital established in 2013 at Chandgaon, Chattagram, the main port city of Bangladesh with the approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC), affiliation from University of Chittagong from the very beginning and by Chittagong Medical University from 2017.

The college is offering a 5-year MBBS graduate course followed by 1-year Internship training as per BM&DC Curriculum. The academic activities of the college are conducted by a group of highly dedicated extraordinary high-quality teachers for basic, paraclinical, and clinical subjects. The professional examinations are conducted independently by affiliating universities following a fully electronically generated coding system. For academic development of the teachers the college is providing faculty development program through regular CME by an independent Medical Education Unit (MEU) headed by a professional medical educationist as per the guidance of National Centre for Medical Education (CME), teachers training, workshop, seminar, symposium, etc.

Chattagram International Medical College (CIMC) has the extracurricular activities like Sports, Cultural programs, Celebration of National, International days, Debate club, Social program, Outing, Student mentorship, Leadership development program, etc are running by the Students Affairs Division (STAD) under the guidance of a teacher.

The ‘Research Wing’ and the ‘International Affairs Division’ is headed by research-minded, nationally and internationally well connected teacher vastly experienced in research work for communication and organization of collaborative activities like a student, faculty member, and staff development through an exchange program, collaborative research activities, arrangement of national and international seminar, workshop and training programs through MOU or other similar partnership with different internationally reputed institutions. At present, the student and teachers exchange program, collaborative research activities, and joint publications are going on with Kulliya of Medicine (Faculty of Medicine) and Kulliya of Dentistry(Faculty of Dentistry)of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and Ankara University, Turkey through MOU. A peer-reviewed indexed and BMDC recognized journal is being regularly published by the college.

The medical college hospital is enriched with all modern facilities and equipment in every major and allied discipline for providing treatment to the patients and clinical and practical training to the students.

The excellent performance of the student and teachers, utmost discipline along with extraordinary cleanliness and decor of the campus has led the authority to conceive the dream to develop the college as a center of excellence in the country and in the region with the slogan of ‘Blending quality with morality’.

Note: If any student does not perform their internship training in this institute (MCWH) she will get a refund of USD 2170. Total amount then to be paid USD (45000-2170) = USD 42830.

Hostel accommodation fee per year approximately: US$ 800.00

At the time of admission, all students will have to pay a minimum of one (01) year hostel seat rent in advance if they desire to live in a hostel. Hostel accommodation fees are the same as local students for one year. All students will clear their hostel seat rent before appearing in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Final professional MBBS examination. If they fail in the Final Professional MBBS Examination, they will have to pay US$ 800.00 (Eight hundred US Dollars) for each attempt in all subjects and US$ 267.00 for each subject. All students will clear their tuition & others fees so long they continue their regular courses. All students have to pay any other charges which will be imposed by the concerned authority related to the MBBS course, such as RFST, study tour, autopsy visit, etc.
